About Sri Anandamayi Ma

Anandamayi Ma, the Bliss-Filled Mother, is one of the great spiritual figures of the 20th century. To this day, she is widely revered as a saint and avatar. Ma traveled ceaselessly and spontaneously throughout India during the course of her life, and people from all over the world were drawn to India to simply see her and sit in her presence.  Her devotees ranged from prime ministers and great saints down to the simplest villagers. Although she never gave a lecture or established an institution, many ashrams and schools were set up in her name throughout India.
